Chris Beer
Overview
Chris Beer is an experienced professional services leader who has dedicated his career to building high-performing, client-centric firms across Europe and North America. He joined Merryck & Co. in 2010, leading a management buyout in the same year, and went on to serve as CEO. He is now Senior Partner UK and Middle East with a particular focus on major client relationships, where he leads high-value, multi-jurisdictional engagements spanning diverse sectors and cultures.
Chris’ early career included roles at KPMG and Ernst & Young, where he became National Head of Practice for EY UK Executive Search, Selection & Interim Management. He then joined Resources Global Professionals, a Nasdaq-listed professional services firm, as Regional Managing Director and member of the Global Leadership Team. Reporting to the Group CEO, he established the firm’s UK and European operations, was seconded to Chicago to lead the Mid-West Region and later returned to London to head the European Global and Strategic Accounts programme with responsibility for pan-European business development and client relationship management. After nine years with Resources Global Professionals, Chris joined Merryck & Co.
Chris is motivated by helping others achieve their full potential and by building cohesive, high-performing teams. His experience in founding, scaling and leading businesses has given him practical insight into strategic selling, global account management, team dynamics and growth strategies. A qualified Executive Coach (Bristol Business School), he works primarily with senior leaders at times of personal and organisational transition, creating space to reflect, reframe complexity and make confident decisions about growth, talent and client strategy.

• Global account management & strategic selling – leading complex, multi-country client relationships and driving sustained growth with global and strategic accounts.

• Strategic leadership & governance – integrating board-level governance, strategy and commercial practice, informed by his dual practitioner–academic perspective.
Alongside his role at Merryck, Chris holds an Executive MBA from Warwick Business School, where he was appointed Professor of Practice in 2013. Attached to the Strategy and International Business Group, he co-directs the school’s Doctor of Business Administration programme and specialises in Strategic Leadership and Corporate Governance, bringing the practitioner’s perspective into the lecture theatre and enriching the learning experience for MBA and DBA students.
