Ahmed is currently Partner and Vice Chairman at Joa Capital, an investment company licensed by the Saudi Capital Market Authority. He is also a Partner at Marco Partners, where he plays a pivotal role in guiding the firm’s corporate finance, investment structuring, and client solutions. Prior to his current role, Ahmed served as Advisor to the Minister of Investment and Managing Director at the Saudi General Investment Authority overseeing a cluster of sectors including Financial Services, Tourism, Entertainment, Sports and Culture. He previously also worked at HSBC’s Global Banking and Markets unit where he advised clients on capital markets and structured finance mandates.

He received Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering and Industrial Management from Purdue University (USA).
