Overview
Kal Patel is a seasoned operating executive whose career spans more than 35 years working with FTSE 100 and Fortune 100 companies at the intersection of strategy, technology and commercial execution. He has served as CEO/President Asia Region for Best Buy, leading large, complex businesses across multiple markets and channels, and is recognised for his ability to craft a clear vision and translate it into sustainable growth. His experience blends senior roles in global corporates, blue-chip consultancies and Silicon Valley-based venture firms, giving him a distinctive perspective on how established organisations can harness disruptive technologies and new business models.
Kal began his career as a Financial Controller at Courtaulds before moving into consulting as a Senior Consultant at Accenture and later a Principal at KPMG. He then held leadership roles in strategy and innovation at Strategos, VantagePoint Ventures, LRN and Home Retail Group, operating as a trusted adviser to Boards and executive teams on growth, transformation and culture. Alongside his corporate responsibilities, he has been a venture investor and adviser, working closely with founders and leadership teams to scale businesses and reimagine incumbent sectors.
