Hutch Ranck
Overview
Hutch Ranck is currently Chair of Autopak Vetlab and J.L.Lennard, following a distinguished 31-year executive career with DuPont across Australia, Hong Kong and the United States. As CEO of DuPont ANZ for 11 years and Group Managing Director of DuPont ASEAN for six, Hutch led businesses spanning agricultural chemicals, pharmaceuticals, industrial chemicals and consumer products, and was instrumental in pioneering leadership practices that set new benchmarks for transparency and engagement across the region.
His non-executive portfolio includes directorships at the Business Council of Australia, CSIRO, Iluka Resources, and chairing Elders Ltd – roles that reflect his broad influence across industry, science and agribusiness.
During his tenure at DuPont, Hutch championed operational excellence, customer fulfilment, Six Sigma, and sales and operational planning. He was the first to introduce transparent 360° feedback for all supervisors in Australia, later extending this practice into Asia. As a mentor, Hutch is valued for his ability to listen deeply, ask incisive questions, and help senior leaders navigate complexity and transition. He is known for his pragmatic, empathetic approach and for supporting others’ success at pivotal moments in their careers.
