Ben is recognised for developing purposeful leaders and strengthening high-performance cultures through a blend of strategic insight and practical business acumen.

He served as Chief Executive of G Research, a leading quantitative research firm, where he guided the business through a major growth phase defined by technological innovation, scaling of teams and operational excellence. Having first joined G Research as Business Manager, Ben played a pivotal role in building the firm’s operational and people infrastructure, leading functions including trade execution, operations and HR before assuming overall strategic leadership as CEO.

Earlier in his career, Ben spent two decades with Barclays, progressing through its Management Development Programme into a range of senior leadership positions across commercial and investment banking. His career has been characterised by a consistent focus on business transformation, operational improvement and talent development across complex regulatory environments. Alongside his executive responsibilities, Ben served as Trustee and Chair of The Hope Centre, a Northamptonshire based charity supporting individuals facing homelessness and social exclusion.

Stimulated by his own leadership journey, Ben transitioned into coaching following completion of the Meyler Campbell Mastered Programme. Today, he works closely with CEOs, COOs and founders, enabling them to explore strategic challenges and accelerate personal and organisational growth. He is also an experienced facilitator and team coach, supporting boards and senior teams in enhancing alignment and collective performance.

Ben brings deep cross sector expertise in:

• Financial services and banking – senior leadership roles across commercial and investment divisions at Barclays.

• Technology and data analytics – CEO experience leading a cutting edge quantitative research business.

• Organisational growth and talent development – scaling knowledge intensive, regulated enterprises through transformation.

• Governance and social purpose – guiding mission driven organisations as Trustee and Chair in the charitable sector.

A graduate of the Meyler Campbell Mastered Programme, Ben integrates evidence based coaching methodologies with extensive executive experience to help leaders achieve clarity, resilience and sustainable impact.

Meet the Mentors

The Original Mentor

Mentoring has its roots in one of the oldest leadership stories. In Homer’s Odyssey, Mentor was entrusted with guiding the young Telemachus while Odysseus was away — not by directing him, but by offering judgement, perspective and wisdom born of experience. This enduring idea of counsel, grounded in trust rather than instruction, remains the essence of mentoring today.

That same tradition sits at the heart of Global Mentors Group today.

We exist to provide leaders with access to seasoned peers who have walked the path before them, offering the clarity, judgement and discretion required to lead at the highest level.
