Gerard Dalbosco
Overview
Gerard had a distinguished career with EY, holding multiple senior leadership roles across Oceania and Asia Pacific, including Oceania Managing Partner and CEO; Asia Pacific Joint Deputy CEO and Managing Partner – Markets; Oceania Managing Partner – Transaction Advisory Services; and Melbourne Managing Partner. Prior to these roles, he built a successful M&A career advising a wide range of organisations on mergers and acquisitions, and strategic, commercial and financial due diligence. This blend of transaction, sector and leadership experience has given him a broad vantage point on growth, risk and value creation across many industries.
Gerard now holds a portfolio of governance and advisory roles. He is a Non-Executive Director of Medibank Private, where he chairs the Audit Committee and sits on the Risk Committee. He is a Director of Nanosonics, where he chairs the Audit Committee and sits on the Remuneration, People and Culture Committee. He is Chair of Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS), Chair of the Gillespie Family Council and Gillespie Family Foundation (founders and owners of Bakers Delight), and a Director of the Melbourne Prize Trust. Across these roles he brings a strong focus on culture, leadership, accountability and long-term stewardship.
Throughout his time at EY, Gerard also gained extensive non-executive experience through a broad range of governance positions. These include roles at Mercy Health (Director and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee), the Committee for Melbourne (Director, Joint Deputy Chair and Chair of Finance, Audit and Risk), Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak (Chair and Chair of the Finance Committee), Berry Street Victoria (Director and Member of the Finance Committee), NGV Business Council (Chair) and Newman College (member of the Finance Committee).

• Professional services, M&A & transactions – leading major advisory practices and supporting clients on mergers, acquisitions, valuations and due diligence across multiple industries.
• Board leadership, audit & risk governance – chairing and serving on audit, finance and risk committees in listed, private, public and for-purpose organisations.
• Health, education & philanthropy – stewarding organisations in healthcare, schools, universities and philanthropic foundations with a strong focus on impact and sustainability.
• Purpose-led leadership & people development – partnering with executives and boards to develop leadership capability, strengthen culture and align strategy with values and societal contribution.
